One day while I was taking the puppies in and out for their potties, I noticed two lizards fighting. They were the "creepy kind" of lizard that looks like a green anole but has a ridge along the back and black spots under the eyes. This is the only picture I got of them fighting (you may have to zoom in):
Then I took several pictures as they retreated into the bushes:
Aren't they scary and gross? It feels almost racist to say so, but I wish we only had the plain green ones that make good pets, and the big, scaly "Texas lizards" that run really fast and eat fruit out of the compost bin. There are SO MANY lizards in the yard, and they're always leaping from one plant to another, as in the popular interjection, "Leaping lizards!!"
