I tried to base this loosely on a recipe in "Easy Vegetarian," but I didn't have buttermilk and couldn't grind my almonds, so they came out pretty dull. I'd recommend the recipe in
Joy of Cooking instead--or maybe some day I'll get all the proper ingredients and try this one again.
